Areas of Operation
We offer the largest variety of tours and the most trail miles of any sled dog operation in Montana! Our base is located in Emigrant, Montana near Chico Hot Springs, and our shorter trips orginate there. However, we also operate near the Border of Yellowstone Park near Gardiner, and Cooke City.
Our Most Popular Trip
WOLF WATCHING & DOG SLED COMBO: The ultimate Yellowstone Winter experience,combine a wolf watching excursion in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone with a 1/2 day dog sled tour near Cooke City. Lunch included $350 per person
Sled Dog Sampler
This short trip is a great introduction to the sport of Mushing and to Winter Adventure. It is an ideal morning for those with young children, or for people not accustomed to cold Montana weather. Trips meet at 9:00 am and last approximatly 1-2 hours on trail. $95 per person
1/2 Day Tour
This trip goes deeper into the Wilderness, and gives you more insight into the amazing world of Sled Dogs. We will be on trail for 3-4 hours and you will get a chance to really see our Huskies perform. We will most likely cover alot of miles during a 1/2 day, and you will be blown away at how theses huskies run! This trip simulates the speed and excitement of a sled dog race! Be prepared for winter weather and FUN! We serve a quick trailside snack of Bison Chili and Hot Choclate on this outing. $195 per person
Full Day Adventure
Our Full Day trips are EPIC! Drive your own team ALL DAY, or ride in the sled with a guide, and be amazed at the amount of country you'll see. We will cover anywhere from 20-40 miles (depending on conditions) and will have a trailside Gourmet Lunch. This trip departs early and get backs late, and is for true adventure lovers. $285 per person
Special Tours
Full Moon Mush
This is a unique experience that can't be matched. Fly through the Wilderness with a team of huskies illuminated by the Full Moon. The backcountry comes alive when the moon is bright. The reflection of the moon, off the snow has a magical effect on the dogs, and the pace picks up. You and the dogs will love this trip. Trip meets at our office at 6pm and we'll return by 10pm. $325 per person
Iditarod Training Run
Join Top Ten IDITAROD Finisher Jason Barron on an overnight training run! This is the ultimate Mushing experience. You'll see first hand what Long Distance Sled Dog Racing is all about. This trip is for adventurous, hardy, lovers of cold weather. You will be running dogs overnight, by headlamp, at extreme temperatures. You will have the opportunity to run dogs that have WON major sled dog races like the "Race to the Sky" Marathon in Montana, and the "John Beargrease" Marathon in Minnesota, under the guidance of Champion Racer Jason Barron! There is no experience in the lower 48 United States that can compare to this! This trip is booked during Mid-December only, and limited to just two guests. $1295.00 per person
Mountain Cabin
This trip is run out of Cooke City, Montana and goes into the High Country of the Beartooth Mountains. Two Full Day trips, with a one night cabin stay and gourmet dinner and breakfast in a cabin near the Wyoming-Montana border. This is an incredible trip that can't be matched anywhere in the Rocky Mountains- it is truely the Best Winter Vacation in the Yellowstone Area! $525 per person
